The Joshua and Irene Brittingham Foundation Fund is named after Joshua and Irene Brittingham, two individuals who, despite lacking formal education past the eighth grade, knew the value of education and instilled its importance into their children. Its goal is to provide grants to organizations in Milwaukee and Wauwatosa as well as Indiana and Delaware. The grants will support early childhood education in an effort to close persistent achievement gaps that exist between students of color and students in poverty and their peers.
