From the Museum of Wisconsin Art, which is a cornerstone of West Bend’s cultural district, to the Ice Age National Scenic Trail, which winds throughout 45 miles of the area, Washington County has many assets that make it special. The Greater Milwaukee Foundation has worked with the citizens of Washington County for more than 20 years to preserve and celebrate these treasures and make their communities even better places to live and work.

Over the years 68 funds have been created by residents of Washington County, including such civic leaders as the late Clifford Nelson and R. Douglas Ziegler. One of the area’s largest employers, the West Bend Mutual Insurance Company, also have entrusted their philanthropy with us.

We are proud to be able to work with donors and nonprofits to further the growth and development of the area and meet its most pressing needs.
