Coalescing for change: Advancing the first citywide plan for affordable housing

  • Create more affordable housing units – rental and owned – by increasing the number of homes that can be acquired from foreclosure and converted for new homeownership as well as developing new, affordable houses and rental units.
  • Advance sustainable partnerships between nonprofit developers and for-profit developers to help transition available properties into homes that new homeowners and families in Milwaukee can afford.
  • Encourage philanthropists to support and grow the capacity of effective nonprofits that encourage and support people in the process of buying and owning a home as well as those that help prevent evictions and foreclosures.

Hosts: Gina Stilp (Zilber Family Foundation) & Lamont Davis (KLD Construction Management Services and Milwaukee Community Land Trust)
