Residents set vision for thriving community

Sherman Park residents have chosen youth engagement as their top priority for Greater Milwaukee Foundation investment through an ongoing, community-driven process. The work is part of the Foundation’s much broader Thriving Communities strategy, dedicated to joining with residents of Milwaukee to create positive change in places that historically have faced barriers to revitalization.

Steve Marcus receives volunteer leadership award

From film and hospitality, to art and music, to community and philanthropy, Steve Marcus has given people in greater Milwaukee a lifetime of positive experiences. The Greater Milwaukee Foundation recently honored Marcus, chairman of the Marcus Corporation and of Sculpture Milwaukee, with its 2018 William C. Frye Award.
