A Milwaukee for All: Foundation unveils new strategic vision

Greater Together Awards honor impact of four community leaders

Continuing a longstanding tradition of recognizing the commitment, talent, passion and vision of those working to strengthen the community, the Greater Milwaukee Foundation has honored four local leaders with 2020 Greater Together Awards. This year, the Foundation celebrates the work of Ricardo Diaz, Darryl Johnson, Christine Neumann-Ortiz and Dr. Jeanette Mitchell.

Foundation, MCW and Royal Capital advance shared priorities as the ThriveOn Collaboration

The community-centered collaboration led by the Medical College of Wisconsin, the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, and Royal Capital Group is now known as the ThriveOn Collaboration. Five shared priorities have been identified through deep resident and stakeholder engagement, and construction is expected to begin this month on the collaboration’s physical location on King Drive.

Early childhood education offers powerful 13% return on investment

A large Milwaukee audience took a deep dive this November into the economic benefits of investing in early childhood education, courtesy of a special presentation by Nobel Laureate James Heckman. The event was coordinated by the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, Milwaukee Succeeds and the Medical College of Wisconsin.
