Early childhood education advocacy pays off, but big gaps remain

Throughout the year, Milwaukee Succeeds, the Greater Milwaukee Foundation and their many partners have advocated for the continuation of Child Care Counts. Recently, Gov. Tony Evers announced the state would use emergency funding to maintain the program until June 2025. While welcome, this is a temporary fix, and advocates continue to raise awareness, bridge gaps and find solutions.
