The Greater Milwaukee Foundation is how Milwaukee works together. Through our community leadership and support of cross-sector collaborations, focused initiatives and regional partnerships, we are moving the needle on goals shared by the entire community.
ThriveOn Collaboration
Led by the Foundation, the Medical College of Wisconsin and developer Royal Capital, the place-based ThriveOn Collaboration is committed to eliminating health, economic and social disparities perpetuated by systemic racism and generational disinvestment.
Milwaukee Succeeds
A leader in collaborative, educational systems change based at the Foundation, Milwaukee Succeeds supports a vision of cradle-to-career success centered on racial equity, community voice and changing systems, with particular focus on early childhood education for Black and Brown children and high school success for Black males.
Community Development Alliance
As a funder and founding member of the Community Development Alliance, the Foundation is collaborating with public and private partners to advance Milwaukee’s first ever collective, affordable housing plan.
MKE Civic Action Team
Convened by the Foundation and many partners to help the community collectively respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and other challenges, the MKE Civic Action Team continues to coordinate cross-sector efforts to advance systems change with an emphasis on racial equity.
Nonprofit Management Fund
The Nonprofit Management Fund is a collaborative of eight funding partners designed to help local nonprofits strengthen their infrastructure and operations.
Partner foundations
