100 Black Men of Milwaukee: $25,000 to support a video documentary presentation and audio presentation examining the effects of crime, COVID-19 and double consciousness on the African American law enforcement officer. The research will focus on southeastern Wisconsin, including Milwaukee's Sherman Park, North Division and Metcalfe Park neighborhoods.

Albright Methodist Church: $15,000 will fund Capital Heights Summer Youth Work Program.

American Civil Liberties Union of Wisconsin Foundation: $15,000 to support its youth programs, including the after-school Public Art Student Alliances at Milwaukee partner schools, the Youth Social Justice Forum and the Summer Justice Institute, a two-week intensive session incorporating arts programming.

Audio & Braille Literacy Enhancement: $44,000 in operating support.

Bembe Drum and Dance: $20,000 in operating support.

Casa Romero Renewal Center: $15,000 to support its operations to allow its creative arts programming for Milwaukee's Latinx youth with local artists to flourish, including after-school art workshops, art & activism retreats, summer camps, art therapy workshops and a community arts showcase.

ERAs Senior Network: $50,000 in operating support.

Ex Fabula: $20,000 in operating support. 

Ezekiel Community Development Corporation: $15,000 to help fund workforce development operations.

Friends of Wisconsin Public Television: $25,000 to support PBS Wisconsin’s production of a two-hour documentary exploring the history of the LGBTQ+ community in Wisconsin. “Wisconsin Pride” will premiere on PBS Wisconsin in spring 2023.

Girls Rock Milwaukee: $5,000 in operating support.

Greater Galilee Community Development Corp.: $35,000 in operating support for its work serving aging adults in the 53206 ZIP code. 

Greater Milwaukee Committee: $100,000 to support a program to help develop a diverse talent pipeline into appraisal careers in Milwaukee. This model is innovative across the country, featuring paid training focused on underrepresented populations entering the industry. It also anticipates networking, coaching and extended support.

Guest House of Milwaukee: $225,000 to support a community case manager and provide a flexible pool of funds to support individuals retaining and finding stable housing.

HEAR Wisconsin: $25,000 in operating support.

Historic Milwaukee: $20,000 for operating support.

Hmong American Women’s Association: $50,000 in operating support.

Joyce’s House of Milwaukee: $5,000 to support the organization’s art program.

Ko-Thi Dance Company: $30,000 in operating support.

Lad Lake: $75,000 to fund classroom expansion to create the workforce development center.

Latino Entrepreneurial Network of Southeast Wisconsin: $50,000 to support a recruiting campaign aimed at attracting Latino and African American residents of Milwaukee’s south side to the early childhood education profession. The grant will allow providers to acquire tools, resources and coaches to provide individual bilingual technical assistance.

Life Navigators: $25,000 in operating support.

Literacy Lab: $50,000 in general operating support to help its efforts to place men of color in early childhood education classrooms.

Metcalfe Park Community Bridges: $50,000 to support Metcalfe Park advocates.

Metcalfe Park Community Bridges: $9,000 to support voter registration and education.

Milwaukee Art Museum: $15,000 for its youth and teen art programming.

Milwaukee Artist Resource Network: $25,000 in operating support.

Milwaukee County Historical Society: $20,000 in operating support.

Milwaukee Film: $15,000 to support the Black Maternal Health Symposium, a one-of-a-kind learning experience and use film to spark dialog between community members and healthcare providers to better understand a wide range of maternal health issues.

Milwaukee Film: $25,000 in operating support.

Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design: $25,000 in operating support to allow MIAD to continue to diversity its faculty through the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design Fellows Program, which enables outstanding graduate alumni from historically underrepresented communities to build professional experience at the highest levels of art and design education.

Milwaukee Jewish Federation: $25,000 for the Ukraine Emergency Relief Fund to help support the work of Milwaukee Jewish Federation’s global partners responding with critical services on the ground. 

Milwaukee Opera Theatre: $15,000 in operating funds to build the administrative capacity of the organization to continue to do its unique work in collaboration with many of Milwaukee’s performing organizations while creating educational and performance opportunities for local musicians. 

Milwaukee Public Museum: $25,000 for its Summer Connections Program, which provides students from marginalized communities with educational programming and a free family membership for each student to return for self-guided tours.

Mitchell Street Arts Collaborative: $30,000 in capital support for the development of its space in the Kunzelmann-Esser building. The organization will offer neighborhood residents and members a makerspace as a community workshop, services for creative entrepreneurs, spaces for gallery shows by local artists and multicultural performances.

Museum of Wisconsin Art: $25,000 in operating support to allow it to present its 2022 exhibition schedule, including "Khari Turner: Mirroring Reflection" featuring artwork exploring the native Milwaukeean's spiritual and physical connection to Black ancestry; "Legends of Drag," an exploration of living drag history; "Here We Stand," a retrospective of Tom Jones, a member of the Ho-Chunk nation and one of the nation’s leading indigenous artists; "Strange Lands" features the work of Indigenous American artists Sky Hopinka and Thomas Antell; and "The Weight We Carry: A Teen’s Perspective on Resilience" organized by MOWA’s Teen Council. 

Neighborhood House of Milwaukee: $25,000 in operating support for its ongoing arts and culture programs. 

Next Act Theatre: $25,000 to provide resources during a pivotal time in the organization’s history, as the artistic director of 32 years will step down in December 2022. The search for a successor is proceeding as is an evaluation of the personnel structure of the theater company, which will bring additional expenses.

Next Door Foundation: $50,000 in general operating funds to sustain the Pathways program. The program offers educational opportunities for those who are new to early childhood education and those who have been long-time employees. The program offers several different options to earn early childhood education credentials all at no charge.

Parklawn Assembly of God Church: $25,000 for the church’s urban agricultural workforce development program for middle and high school youth.

Pastors United Community Advocacy: $12,500 to support voter registration and education.

Pathfinders Milwaukee: $225,000 to support its Community Case Management program.

Project Return: $15,000 to help fund its workforce development operations.

Public Allies: $15,000 to support its transformational leadership operations.

Radio Milwaukee: $25,000 in operating support.

Renaissance Theaterworks: $20,000 in operating support.

Revitalize Milwaukee: $50,000 in operating support.

Riverwest Artists Association: $15,000 in operating support.

Running Rebels: $15,000 to support its workforce development summer youth operations.

Second Chances Staffing Services: $3,500 to support voter registration and education. 

Seeds of Health: $25,000 to allow the organization to offer more consistent, intentional arts programs. Local artists will facilitate meaningful art education experiences with students and, as a culminating activity, will create a public art installation on or near the school campus(es).

Serving Older Adults of Southeast Wisconsin: $50,000 to fund operating support for the organization, which operates five public senior centers in Milwaukee County.

Southside Organizing Center: $12,500 to support voter registration and education. 

Southside Organizing Center: $50,000 to support advocacy efforts.

St. Francis Children’s Center: $20,000 in general operating funding that will provide resources aimed at professional development for teachers to learn strategies to combat stress and fatigue.

TBEY Arts Center: $30,000 in operating support to allow the organization to continue to serve children and families from underrepresented communities by providing access to affordable, high quality, after-school and summer multidisciplinary arts and cultural programming.

Walnut Way Conservation Corporation: $15,000 to support window safety upgrades.

Washington Park Neighbors: $5,000 to support the artist fees, administrative expenses and supplies related to the free Washington Park Wednesdays eight-concert series during the summer.

Waukesha County Community Dental Clinic: $10,000 in operating support.

We Will All Rise: $50,000 for its The Rising Institute, specifically, MKE Rising, a developmental teacher residency program that recruits young men of color (ages 18-24) interested in exploring teaching as a viable career option, with a particular emphasis on early childhood education (Prek-4 & Kindergarten), to serve as fellows for a school year.

West Side Arts Unlimited: $30,000 in capital support for the development of the New State Music Park, an outdoor venue in the green space next to the State Street Theater.

Wisconsin Voices: $12,500 to support voter registration and education.

Woodland Pattern: $25,000 in operating support.
