Due to the unprecedented time we are in, the Oconomowoc Area Foundation is shifting their grant making priorities and expediting the process for 2020. This grant cycle will focus on agencies providing basic need relief due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Guidelines & Requirements

Application timeline

April 21 – application available
May 6 – application deadline (11 p.m. CST)
May 26 – applicants notified of final funding decision


  • Preference will be given to agency programs/services that are providing direct support to the community and the COVID-19 pandemic. This means basic human needs (food and shelter), emergency relief, health, community safety, or relevance to current circumstances.
  • Agencies must provide documentation of other “relief funding” applied to, or received from, and indicate what source.
  • Request amounts should not exceed $15,000.
  • Projects should be completed before September 30th, 2020.


  • Organizations must be considered charitable organizations as determined by the IRS internal revenue code 501(c)(3) and submit IRS determination form
  • All questions in the application must be answered

Selection process

  • Selection of recipients will be authorized by the Oconomowoc Area Foundation Board, and priority will be given to basic human needs and programming arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Not all projects will be funded

Award letters will include award amounts and reporting requirements.
