In 1915, a small group of generous and visionary Milwaukee leaders believed in the power of philanthropy to change the lives of people in our community. By creating the then Milwaukee Foundation, they fashioned a way for a permanent pool of charitable resources to be used to address the community’s most pressing issues. More than 100 years later, that unique charitable concept still remains alive and well and we, as a community foundation, are still going strong, thanks to the generosity of our donors.

In 2015, we celebrated our milestone year through a myriad of ways:

Gifts to the Community

These monthly gifts provided the public with unique experiences that celebrated the remarkable resources our greater Milwaukee community has to offer. They emphasize access for all and inspire pride and a shared sense of community around the people, places and opportunities that make the greater Milwaukee area special.
