Mequon/Hiram Schmitt Fund
Background
The Mequon/Hiram Schmitt Fund was established at the Foundation in 1984 by the city of Mequon, with assets which had been bequeathed to the city by the late Hiram Schmitt, a long-time resident of the community.
An advisory board, composed of Mequon area residents, reviews and makes grant recommendations. The Foundation’s Board gives final approval on all grants.

- Agency’s capacity (governing body, staff, financing) to respond to the problem(s)
- Number of Mequon residents expected to benefit
- Urgency of need for support from the Mequon/Hiram Schmitt Fund
